This personal passion project allowed me to rebrand the Barbican Centre, one of my favourite spots in London. For the new logo, I crafted a custom typeface inspired by the estate’s brutalist architecture. The central circular element of the typography was drawn from the circular fountains, while the shapes of the concrete tower blocks influenced the strong lines with curved edges in the font. For the website design, I highlighted these circular elements to bring a playful, modern twist to the estate’s identity. I also designed a collection of prints and apparel, using the new logo and photography, to create my own Barbican Brand Collection.
